Make your wedding day stand out by creating these gorgeous sugar iced cookies. They make great wedding favours and are a unique way of ensuring your guests remember your special day.
225g unsalted butter
1 large egg plus one extra yolk
480g plain flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 tsp extract (vanilla, almond, or lemon)
Cream butter and sugar
with salt, for 1-2 minutes.
Add egg, extra yolk, and extract, then mix in well.
Mix flour and baking powder together, and combine with the butter mix.
Cut out cookies in a pre-heated oven at 180°C or 350°F for 8 to 12 minutes.
Cookies will start to turn golden brown around the edges.
Leave for a minute on the tray, then place cookies onto a wire rack to cool.
Cookie dough can be frozen
